Keep Murphy Beautiful

Each year, Murphy residents come together to clean up areas within the City. This year, efforts will focus on Maxwell Creek North Park, The Aviary Park and City Park.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 28. Contact David Bottlinger at 972-468-4000 to sign up or if you have any questions.

Come join your neighbors for a day of community clean up and help Keep Murphy Beautiful!

Plano ISD Board of Trustee Forum

The Plano ISD Key Communicators and Plano ISD Council of PTAs are sponsoring a Plano ISD School Board Candidates Forum at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, in the First Floor Board Room at the Plano ISD Administration Building, 2700 W. 15th Street, Plano.

This forum will provide the opportunity for parents, staff, students and other citizens to address questions to candidates who
are running for positions on the Board of Trustees. Sharon Goldblatt, chairman of the Key Communicators, will serve as moderator. PTA representatives will serve as greeters.

The forum, which is open to the public, will conclude by 8:30 p.m.

Murphy Candidate Forum this Saturday

The Murphy Monitor is sponsoring a candidate forum at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 14 at the Murphy Road Baptist Church (411 S. Murphy Road).

The public and all Murphy city council candidates are invited to attend.

The League of Women Voters will be facilitating the forum, using questions provided by the audience. Each candidate will give opening remarks, answer questions, and give final remarks.
